Applying Vladimir Propp Theory: Cabin in the Woods

The Hero: This character is the hero because we see this character develop into a strong leader and see helps guide other character throughout the film and also she is left one standing showing she is strong and independent which is a characteristic of a hero.

The Helper: This character helps the hero several times throughout the film and even saves her from being killed.

The False Hero: This character is the false hero because throughout the film we see him as superior as he is the leader of the group as he attempts to rescue people however he eventually dies before the ending of the film.

The Donor: This character is the donor because he is seen as the wise man which advises the other characters in the film and also he helps the main hero out throughout showing him to be the donor.

The Princess: This character is the princess because she is attempting to be saved by another character in the film showing she is vulnerable and relies on other characters.

The Dispatcher: This character is the dispatcher because he gives the other characters in the films orders which leads them on their journey, however he is also a secondary villain which is a twist, but he is the reason the characters are part of the story.

The Villain: This character is the Villain as she is a leader and she is seen to perform the acts of terror on the hero's and those characters associated with the hero. Also she is seen to be manipulative and have power over others.
